Professional Scrum Master Preparation and Tips

Hi,

First of all I am thankful to all community members who have shared their experience and tips to prepare and get the certification, it really helped me a lot while gaining the insights of how to prepare, DO'S and DON'T.

I have just completed PSM and would like to share my experience to all aspirant.

Few tips to prepare and be ready for your exam 

1. Completely study the Scrum guide , it is master guide and try to digest each and every meaning of the word. I was actually preparing since last few weeks though I am coming from agile background.
2. Read carefully and do it atleast multiple times. Recommended to read more more more often if you are coming from non agile background.
3. Go for open assessment provided and check it constantly.
4. Take the open assessment test as many times as you can and make yourself confident about principal, rules and scrum ritual. Do not attempt exam until constantly getting 100% in open assessment.
5. Also mlapshin real time exams help a lot to prepare. It is really great resource to get started with. 
6. mlapshin + Open assessments are the great material.

Some tips during exam

1. it is time bound of 1 hour and without adequate knowledge , not able to complete all questions so be fully prepared and not attempt until one is 110% sure to take it up.
2. Keep pen, paper during exam and note down the question number which like to refer later.
3. There are many situational and lengthy questions which took time to understand so save and use your time wisely. 
4. Stick to he scrum guide only but there are more practical questions.
5. Always attempt the exam in peaceful environment to avoid any disturbance.
6. Read each question twice even though you are familiar and gone thru it. there are likely chances that it is tweaked like most to least and likewise.
